Fairway Villa

Built in 1974, this 28-story building experienced frequent drain, waste, and vent (DWV) leaks, leading to regular shutdowns and resident complaints. Also, the Fairway Villa AOAO was on the verge of losing its insurance coverage if they didn’t fix the piping system. The Board of Directors selected SageWater to replace the DWV system and water heaters, and to move the mechanical booster pump system to a higher floor to avoid flood risk. They selected us based on our reputation plus our competitive bid and our ability to start the project when desired. (In fact, we started two months ahead of schedule after a massive leak disrupted the community.) In addition to aggressive scheduling, Fairway Villa benefited from SageWater’s ingenuity and turnkey capabilities. For example, we performed concrete, masonry, and metal fabrication work without hiring subcontractors. We also found a way to install temporary shower walls that were shared between units.
