Woodburn Condominiums, a 44-building community, was struggling with severe corrosion in its galvanized steel hydronic piping, leading to drainage problems, embrittled fan coils, and pinhole leaks in its main lines. Some of the attachments between the fan coils and the pipes were so brittle that they would break when touched. The condominium Board chose SageWater to repipe this failing system.
We replaced the galvanized mains and risers with new, durable copper piping. On larger-diameter main lines that were servicing multiple buildings, we used grooved mechanical couplings for added longevity and durability. We finished on-budget and significantly ahead of schedule because we were able to deploy extra crews onsite, and our proactive approach and clear communication ensured a smooth process for residents.
