At The Blairs apartment complex, one design-build project quickly became three due to client satisfaction with SageWater. We started at the Blair East building where the hydronic HVAC pipes were leaking several times a year and plumbing costs were increasing. The owners decided to replace the piping but weren’t sure how to go about it or develop the plans. They selected SageWater and we designed and implemented a full hydronic riser pipe replacement. We also added isolation valves on the risers so that during the project and in the future, the building’s central HVAC can be shut down in only a single unit if there’s an issue.
Because of their experience with us early in the Blair East project, the owners added two more buildings, Blair Plaza and Blair House, for a total of 1,397 units. We’ve completed Blair East and Blair House on time and on budget and are on track to do the same for Blair Plaza.
The way SageWater was able to coordinate the project and message it internally to the residents took a lot of pressure off my teams, instead of me having to hire additional folks to handle the coordination and questions.
