Spanning two buildings and 189 units, SageWater replaced all the corroded cast iron drain, waste and vent piping above ground and below ground in the 16 units that required excavation beneath the slab. In addition to the excavation, trenching, removal and replacement of the failing underground piping, this project also required the removal and replacement of asphalt and concrete to access the underground pipes. The below slab portion of the project also required removing and resetting nine full kitchens on the ground floor. We replaced storm drain leaders, the sanitary stacks at all tie-in points to the lateral sanitary main piping (above grade) and the vent stacks at all roof penetrations at each roof vent for both buildings. In addition, SageWater rerouted all supply pipe shut-offs to the exterior of the building for easier control during shutdowns. Finally, we replaced five storm drain catch basins and rerouted both trash floor drains to meet current code requirements.
