Punahou Chalet was experiencing recurring leaks and backups in its aging drain, waste and vent system, leading to rising insurance costs. The Board determined that a full system replacement was the best path forward and chose SageWater for the project because they were drawn to our responsiveness and attention to detail. When field conditions revealed that the existing piping did not match the building’s original plans, we adjusted our approach and schedule accordingly, keeping residents informed throughout. Beyond the core repipe, we engineered a unit-by-unit cold water submeter installation solution at the Board’s request. This required a customized approach across a range of unit configurations, often in extremely tight spaces. Despite these challenges, we finished on time and on budget, with minimal disruption to residents.
