Nu'uanu Place

To replace its failing DWV piping system, the board of directors at Nu’uanu Place condominiums selected SageWater for its design-build services. We combined our engineering capabilities and turnkey repipe construction expertise to accelerate the project kickoff and identify money-saving solutions. For example, our engineering team saved the community considerable cost by working with the Department of Planning and Permitting to determine that the community did not need to install a backflow preventer. We also eliminated the expense of extensive masonry work when our expert craftspeople found an ingenious way to use dense board and stucco to return walls back to their original, finished condition without replacing concrete masonry unit (CMU) blocks. In the end, Nu’uanu completed its pipe replacement project faster and reduced the overall project budget by partnering with SageWater as its one source for design-build services and value engineering.
