Problem
Failing cast iron drain, waste, and vent piping
Solution
Turnkey Pipe Replacement

SageWater successfully completed a full-scale drain, waste, and vent (DWV) plumbing upgrade, replacing all vertical and lateral cast-iron piping in 156 units of the Franklin Towers Condominiums. We even added additional isolation valves for the individual units which gave them the capability to shut off a single unit as opposed to a stack.

At the time of the project, the roof of the building was still relatively new and under warranty but we needed to remove and replace the cast iron through-roof vent piping which would impact the roof. So, we coordinated with a roofing contractor to come out once plumbing was done so they could make repairs ensuring the building warranty remained intact. Despite this added hurdle, SageWater restored Franklin Towers to pre-construction conditions, completing the complex 40-story building project on time and under budget.
