Columbia Knoll

The Columbia Knoll community suffered from severe and frequent leaks. SageWater successfully replaced the failing hydronic and condensate riser piping in 72 risers across three buildings to alleviate the problem. Typically, the entire system would be shut down while everything was being replaced, then turned on again upon completion. But for this community, SageWater did a piece-by-piece transition from the old system to the new one, allowing the heating and cooling functions to remain in service for the residents. The new hydronic system and centralized mains provide operational improvements and convenience to the community. For example, building engineers can access the riser shutoff valves in a common area, which eliminates the inconvenience of entering individual homeowner units. Also, it’s easier for building engineers to isolate individual risers for maintenance rather than shutting down multiple risers.

The responsiveness of SageWater has been outstanding. The [project manager] has been in my unit several times to answer questions and advise on unexpected issues as they arise. The entire [SageWater] team I’ve encountered has been easy to work with, polite, clean, and efficient.
