Ala Wai Plaza was suffering from severely corroded cast iron DWV piping in both of its towers. SageWater repiped all 349 units, but because each unit was two stories, it was the equivalent of repiping 698 units! We also performed extensive underground pipe replacement required to accommodate code regulations for “suds relief” configurations. SageWater replaced 414 main zone isolation valves and installed structural bracing within the shafts to support the piping. Our work also included asbestos abatement and fire-stopping.
