Ala Wai Plaza was suffering from severely corroded cast iron DWV piping in both of its towers. SageWater repiped the building, which included all 349 units, but because each unit was two stories, it was the equivalent of repiping 698 units! In addition, we performed extensive underground pipe replacement to accommodate code regulations for suds relief configurations. We also replaced 414 main zone isolation valves and installed structural bracing within the shafts to support the piping. Our work also included asbestos abatement and fire-stopping.
My personal experience on the work in my unit gets an A+ grade. I strongly feel it stems from SageWater’s proper management and leadership. A job well done!
